What are Facial Injectables?
Injectables are various synthetic or natural materials that are injected into your skin to remove lines, folds, wrinkles, jowls and volume loss. There are a variety of different types of injectables, each designed to treat different conditions. Options include:
Botox®, Dysport®, Sculptra®, Juvederm® and Restylane®
Treatments are used to diminish wrinkles in the forehead, brow and lateral eye areas. The medication begins to work approximately 48 to 72 hours after injection and typically last 3-5 months with neuromodulators like Botox® and Dysport®. Fillers may last 8 months- 2 years, depending on the product used. The procedure is done quickly with minimal discomfort.

Juvederm®, Restylane® and Versa® are HAs(hyaluronic acid) fillers used in the cheeks, around the mouth, lips, chin and around the jawline to replace volume loss and reduce wrinkles creating a more youthful, restful appearance. Typically lasting for 8 months-2 years depending on product used.
Sculptra® is a great way to correct more severe volume loss in the face. This product is different from HA gels and involves a series of two to three treatments 6 weeks apart. The volume restoration is gradual and comes from the body’s own production of collagen. The process requires more patience, but the results can last up to 2-3 years in some patients.
Lasers
The Palomar 1540 laser is a noninvasive laser therapy designed to dramatically improve skin texture and pigmentation, including the treatment of fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars and surgical scars, brown spots, melasma and stretch marks without significant downtime.

CO2 Fractional Laser Resurfacing removes layers of skin tissue in a fractionated method (columns of skin are removed, leaving the skin surrounding each column intact to aid in healing) to help reduce “age-spots” (also called sun freckles, liver spots, and lentigines), fine lines, wrinkles, scarring, uneven coloration, skin laxity, textural irregularities, dull tone, and a thinned collagen layer of the face, neck, and chest. Fractional Laser Skin Resurfacing
IPL is used to treat brown spots, red spots, and unwanted pigmentation such as sun spots and background redness.
